The M.Voc in Textile Designing is a two-year postgraduate program at Sikkim Professional University that prepares the students to become masters of the art and science of textiles, ranging from traditional weaving to the latest digital textile technology. The course combines creativity, technical skills, and industry exposure to prepare students to design fabrics that are trendy yet sensitive to India’s rich textile heritage.

Students study fiber science, dyeing, printing, weaving, embroidery, textile CAD, green textile practices, and fashion design applications. Practical training with training in textile laboratories, design studios, and industrial summer internships provides an opportunity for students to acquire skills to generate innovation in apparel, home furnishings, and technical textiles.

Graduates can be engaged as textile designers, fabric technologists, merchandisers, quality controllers, or entrepreneurs in international fashion and textile industries.
